The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, one of the leading private business schools in Russia and the CIS, was founded in 2006 by members of the business community.

The school’s founding partners are 10 Russian and multinational firms and 11 individuals, each a leader of Russian business.

The educational offerings of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO include programs for businesses at any stage of development – from startups to major corporations entering international markets.

Educational programmes for private clients:

  • Startup Academy – intensive program for young entrepreneurs;
  • Practicum for directors – program for directors of small and medium-sized business;
  • MBA – program for fledgling managers and mid-level directors with three years of professional experience;

The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO also serves as a hub of expertise drawing those who place bets on Russia and work in markets with fast-changing economies. The business school operates five research centers:

  • SKOLKOVO Institute for Emerging Market Studies (SKOLKOVO IEMS) – promotes Russia’s multi-dimensional and seamless integration into the world economy, helps the international business community better understand Russia as a market and as a global player, and supports the efforts of Russian businesses to attract investors and enter international markets;
  • SKOLKOVO Energy center (SEneC) – an independent platform supporting the formation of a balanced energy policy and a qualified industry consultant to improve the regulation of the fuel and energy sector;
  • SKOLKOVO Education Development Centre (SEDeC) – develops new approaches and propagates best practices for managing education in Russia and abroad;
  • SKOLKOVO Wealth management and Philanthropy Centre (SWTC) – seeks to support entrepreneurship in Russia through creating and developing legal and educational infrastructure. Its key areas of activity include Asset Management, Continuity and Charity;
  • SKOLKOVO Centre for Urban Studies (SUrbC) – carries interdisciplinary research on to generate knowledge and data on Russian cities, designs and delivers educational programmes to train a new generation of leaders in urban governance, develops professional and academic standards in urban planning and urbanism.

The students and alumni are the main resource and strategic asset of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. There are managers of the country’s major corporations, business owners, government leaders and social entrepreneurs among them.

Starting from September 2014, graduate students of the New Economic School (NES), a private educational institution, are studying on the SKOLKOVO campus.

The territorial rapprochement with NES is an important step towards creating SKOLKOVO-based educational ecosystem, which will integrate the knowledge of economics, management and business for training managers and entrepreneurs.
